The barley straw and humates provide humic acids which have a natural ability to sequester (or tie-up) inorganic compounds so that concentrations in the pond don't reach levels that can imbalance its ecosystem. Apply Microbe-Lift/Maximum Clarity Plus (MC+) directly over the surface area of your pond or spread around its perimeter. The bacteria in Microbe-Lift/Maximum Clarity Plus (MC+) are grown on a bran base which will cause the pond water to appear cloudy after each application. This will clear within 24-48 hours.
