Organica has developed a microbial - based Pond Clarifier designed to bring water back into ecological equilibrium.
In most cases, poor water quality is the result of an overload of organic nutrients, primarily excess nitrogen and phosphorous.
This nutrient buildup serves as a food supply for undesirable plant growth and creates an unbalanced ecosystem. Organica Pond Clarifier creates clean pond and lake-water through a natural biological process.
This natural microbial product contains aerobic and facultative bacteria capable of biodegrading cellulose, lignin, hydrocarbons and other organic pollutants in aqueous environments. Organica Pond Clarifier works best when water temperatures are between 50 - 100 degrees F. It is also essential to provide adequate mechanical aeration to support the establishment of the microbial populations. We recommend bottom aeration utilizing a diffused air system.
Surface aeration is helpful but is often not enough. If mechanical aeration is not feasible Organica has developed a unique Biochemical Oxygen Release System, which will provide a continuous source of slow release oxygen. When applied in conjunction with Pond Clarifier it increases the dissolved oxygen levels in the water allowing the microbial populations to flourish and start the biological processes.
Organica Pond Clarifier in conjunction with either mechanical aeration or the Biochemical Oxygen Release System will typically clear up water in 2 - 4 weeks.
POND CLARIFIER DOSING
Apply 4 - 6 lbs./ of product per acre / foot of water as a shock dose when water temperature reaches 50 degrees F. Thereafter apply 2 lbs. of product per acre / foot of water as a maintenance dose every 4 weeks. If pond / lake is extremely dirty prior to initial application occurs, apply the shock dose at 2 - 4 week intervals until there is an improvement in water clarity then revert to monthly maintenance dose.
